TORONTO, January 7, 2020 – Toronto-based MedStack is the newest member to join the prestigious OneEleven tech community in Toronto and has officially kicked off 2020 in its new downtown home.

OneEleven is a community of high-performing technology scaleups and is currently home to over 50 of Toronto’s most promising technology companies. Alumni companies have gone on to achieve tremendous growth and success, including former OneEleven members Wealthsimple, Opencare and Maple (a MedStack customer). Companies must apply for membership into the OneEleven community and are only accepted after a careful screening and selection process.

“We are thrilled to announce this exciting new partnership and honoured to be in such great company,” says Balaji Gopalan, Co-Founder and CEO of MedStack. “The team at OneEleven has an incredible track record of helping its members succeed and we are grateful to have their support as we look to continue shaking up the digital health industry and accelerating the rate of digital health adoption.”

MedStack is a semi-remote company, one of the defining characteristics of the company’s team culture. It will continue to operate in this way with the addition of having an official company space to work from when needed.

Founded by CEO Balaji Gopalan and CTO Simon Woodside, MedStack is a developer platform that helps digital health companies get to market faster and easier. Last year MedStack raised a $2.4 million CAD oversubscribed seed round and launched its next generation platform, MedStack Control. The company was named a 2019 Top Pick by TechCrunch in the Privacy/Security category and will celebrate its five year anniversary this spring.
