Exciting news for the MedStack team! We’re the proud recipient of this year’s TELUS Outstanding Product Achievement Award for Mobility Health (M-Health) Innovation Excellence in Canada’s Health Care Sector.
The award was presented by the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) and recognizes a Canadian organization whose outstanding technology development or solution has resulted in the production of a uniquely innovative or bold product for the healthcare industry.
The CATAAlliance Innovation and Leadership Awards are prestigious annual awards conferred on individuals and corporations by Canada’s advanced technology community. They are presented in recognition of exceptional contributions made to the creation of science and technology-based industrial strength in Canada.
“Our award winners and finalists have each demonstrated significant leadership as role models for the development of commercially successful enterprises in Canada,” said John Reid, President and CEO, CATAAlliance. “CATA is proud to act as an advocate for them, to share their stories, and to provide a platform of programs and services to assist in fostering their growth.”
This year, the award winners were announced at the 34th Annual CATAAlliance Innovation and Leadership Awards Gala Dinner, which took place on May 15 in Ottawa. The theme for the gala was “Using Technology to Enable Better Healthcare Outcomes”. Each of the 10 recipients were celebrated for their innovation, expertise and leadership in Canada’s technology sector. Last Wednesday evening, our CEO Balaji Gopalan received the award for MedStack and gave his acceptance speech, thanking CATA and TELUS Health with these words: “This is a really humbling recognition because it’s recognizing the extreme importance of applying our resources, creativity and intelligence to such an important problem. The thing that drives MedStack, and drives all of our customers, is making patient lives better. When people ask me, ‘How do you standardize healthcare data privacy? Is it possible? Well we can, and are doing it, and that’s because we’re inspired by all of you.’”
This award was monumental for MedStack as CATA represents Canada’s one voice for the Innovation Lobby group for Canada’s tech industry, crowdsourcing ideas and guidance from thousands of members in Canada and key global markets. CATA plays a key role in driving attention towards innovation and social responsibility of Canada’ tech industry. MedStack is proud to be honoured and recognized by this important party.
